About us

Fibrelux is an independent UK distributor of GRP cabinets and walk-in enclosures, supplying the utilities, electrical infrastructure, and civil engineering sectors. We are not a manufacturer: we work directly with a specialist UK-based GRP fabricator to supply a focused range of enclosures built to perform in demanding outdoor environments. Fibrelux Ltd is a registered UK company (Companies House No. 17212307) operating independently of our manufacturing partners.

Our range covers compact single-door meter housings, twin-door cabinets for control gear and bulk metering installations, and full-height walk-in kiosks for substations and plant rooms. Every product is IP55-rated, made from GRP, and delivered by pallet to site across the UK.

Who we are

Fibrelux was founded with a straightforward aim: to make it easier for contractors, project managers, and procurement teams to source quality GRP enclosures online without navigating complex trade channels. Our product range is deliberately focused, with three cabinet families, clear sizing, and straightforward online ordering.

We hold close working relationships with our UK manufacturer, which means we can advise on colour, lock type, venting and accessory configurations before you order, and escalate technical queries directly to the people who build the products.

Our products

All Fibrelux enclosures are manufactured in Wales by a specialist UK GRP fabricator with an established track record supplying the UK utilities and infrastructure market. Units are made from GRP with a smooth gel-coat finish, do not rust, and are IP55-rated for dust and water ingress protection.

Standard colours are Grey (10-A-07) or Green (14-C-39). Other colours can be supplied from the BS 5252 or RAL range but may incur a surcharge. Lock types, ventilation, cable entry points and internal backboards can be specified at the point of enquiry, so contact us before ordering if your project has specific requirements.

Ordering and delivery

Typically 48hr delivery on items we hold in stock. Made-to-order and modified units are quoted with a lead time. All units ship on pallets, so please have a forklift or telehandler available for offloading. HIAB delivery can be quoted on request for sites without mechanical offloading capability.

We supply to contractors, local authorities, DNOs, telecoms providers, and facilities management companies across the UK. Trade accounts and project pricing are available on request.
